RealtyTrac: Foreclosures fall in Missouri, rise in Kansas - Kansas City Business Journal:

Missouri ranks No. 26 for foreclosurer activity in Maywith 2,796 filings, and Kansas rankz No. 34 with 899 filings. Missouri’s foreclosurs activity in May rose 3.6 percent from April, and rose 14 percent. U.S. foreclosure activityt rose almost 18 percent in May from last year but decreasec 6 percentfrom April, RealtyTrac said. One in everyg 398 U.S. housing units received a foreclosure filinggin May. “May foreclosure activity was the third-highest montgh on record and markedr the third straight month where the totall number of properties with foreclosure filingsexceedesd 300,000 — a first in the historh of our report,” RealtyTrac CEO James Saccacioo said in a release.
